Morning visit to Moreton-in-Marsh where the weekly market will be in progress. Enjoy a little retail therapy at this historic market and grab a bite to eat before heading out to Batsford Arboretum. The market which follows a tradition first set up in the 13th century sells just about everything from food stuff, usually local produce to household items, clothes etc.,. Today it tends to be more of a tourist attraction.
Just outside of Moreton -in-Marsh is Batsford Arboretum, which contain one of the largest tree collections in private hands in the country. It was initially created in the late 19th Century by the first Lord Redesdale (member of the Mitford family). The Arboretum is on a south facing hillside and in the Autumn puts on a bedazzling array of colour as their leaves change colour before being shed for winter..
There is a Garden Centre and Restaurant at the entrance to the Arboretum where you can get a nice warming drink at the end of your foray among the trees.
Price includes Coach Travel and entrance to the Arboretum £25.00
Group price for 10 or more people booking at the same tie and making 1 payment is £24.25 per person.
