The House was originally built in the 17th Century it stayed in the same family until handed to the National Trust in the 1970's. It has regularly featured in the top 10 Stately Homes to be visited over the years.
Outside is an 18th century garden there will be a few displays of Snowdrops on the West Front of the House, in the Tea and Rose Gardens and along Moss Walk. Look out for the rare double headed variety that grow here.
