On the way to Whaley Bridge where our cruise starts we stop off for a couple of hours in Buxton, a lovely town nestled in the Peak District. Famous for its Spa Water that has been enjoyed for centuries. The town boasts some fine examples of Georgian Architecture and the Pavilion Gardens are a testament to the Victorians covering some 23 acres of landscape gardens.

In the afternoon we drive out to Whaley Bridge where we will join our boat the "Judith Mary II" for a cruise lasting approximately 2 hours. During the cruise you will be served afternoon tea consisting of sandwiches, scones with cream and jam. The Upper Peak Forest Canal connects Bugsworth with the Macclesfield Canal with a narrow arm stretching down from Bugsworth to Whaley Bridge. As its name suggests the canal passes through some wooded areas and on one bank you will see some giant ferns. Our journey takes us as New Mills where the trees give way to views over the valley across the Peak District.

During the journey the afternoon tea will be served consisting of sandwiches on the outward journey and scones with Jam and cream on the way back followed by tea or coffee.
The boat does not have a lift there is a large step onto the boat then steps with a handrail to enter the boat itself.
Cruise lasts for 2 hours
A cash bar is available on the boat for drinks. Please note the included tea and coffee with the afternoon tea is served at the end of service any drinks prior to this will be charged.
